Region 11 winners for the School Bus Safety Speech Contest sponsored by the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation are (left to right) Jennifer Rodriguez and Kendall Carroll, both of Granbury ISD, and Valeree McFarland Mineral Wells ISD. Pat Garcia, ESC Region 11 Transportation consultant and chairperson for the 2015-2016 contest, presented the students with certificates and scholarships at ESC Region 11.
The contest is intended to encourage high school students to be conscious of the importance of school bus safety and promote academic achievement. Through corporate sponsorships, scholarships will be awarded to the winners. Students composed and presented an original speech based on the theme “#Stop on Red!”
