Tutorials Offered Daily During Mega Lunch

Students needing additional academic assistance can attend tutorials each day during Mega Lunch. Teachers are assigned tutorials and are available to help students. This accommodates students who are bus riders or have transportation limitations, those involved in extracurricular activities after school, or those with other limitations outside of the regular school day.

TEA Campus Report Card for MWHS

The Texas Education Agency 2016-2017 Campus Report Card for Mineral Wells High School is available. The School Report Card is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. The report can be viewed here or by accessing the following link: http://tea.texas.gov/perfreport/src/index.html If you are unable to access the report, you may request a printed copy from your child’s school.

December 18 MWHS Bus Rider Information

Buses will run at regular times on December 18. The high school, however, will dismiss students who have transportation at noon. Bus riders with no other transportation will be supervised and remain in the cafeteria until 4:15. Parents should make transportation arrangements for their student if they desire a different plan for that afternoon.

Spinal Screening Notification for November 29

Spinal screenings for 9th grade students will take place at Mineral Wells High School November 29. The purpose of spinal screening is to detect the signs of abnormal curves of the spine at the earliest stage so that the need for treatment can be determined.
