Announcement on STAAR testing

This week, Mineral Wells High School is conducting the STAAR online testing for the English I EOC and English II EOC. English I was postponed Tuesday, April 6th due to statewide testing system challenges. We will now be testing English I and English II on Thursday, April 8th. This applies to all students currently enrolled in English I and English II and students who have not yet made a satisfactory score on English I or English IISTAAR tests. All non-testers will be remote learners. Testers need to bring their fully charged Chromebook and charger for testing. All non-testers will be remote learners. STAAR EOC testers will remain on campus the entire school day. Busses will run at normal schedule.
This schedule does not apply to current remote learners. These students will take the STAAR English I on Tuesday, April 13th and English II on Thursday April 15th.

Exam for Acceleration

Registration for the CBE-Exam for Acceleration for Mineral Wells ISD will begin March 18, 2021 with the deadline being April 1, 2021. The test will be given on the following days May 11-13, 2021.

Valentine's Day Delivery Information

Valentine’s Day is Sun, Feb 14th. AS part of our COVID-19 health & safety protocols, campuses will not be accepting any deliveries of food, flowers, or Valentine’s Day items. Thank you again for your continued support in helping keep our students safe and healthy in school.

Student Flu Shot Clinic

MWHS will have a Student Flu Shot clinic on Monday, October 26th from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Consent forms are available in the Front office and Nurse Casey's office. Student must bring the completed consent form with them

MWHS Switches to Online Learning from September 22-24

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases among our students, Mineral Wells High School will switch to 100% remote learning beginning on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. This shift to remote instruction will allow MWISD the opportunity to deep clean the entire campus and allow our students the opportunity to isolate themselves from those asymptomatic carriers of Covid-19. Students will return to campus on Monday, September 28, 2020. Teachers and staff will continue to report to work and be here to assist students with their online coursework. All afterschool activities have been cancelled.

MWHS Homecoming September 11th

MWHS Homecoming is September 11th. With health safety being for our students and community being our priority, there will be not be a Homecoming Parade or Bonfire. We will be doing something virtually.
Also, our Homecoming Queen and King nominees and Princesses& Prince will be escorted by only two parents
